    The channel's three dials. A dial appears once the edict uses it.

    Arithmetic. 2x and 3(x+1) multiply without a sign.

    Floor and ceiling brackets, or floor() and ceil().
    mod(v, m)
    Remainder, always positive. mod(x,4) loops every bar.
    frac rnd
    frac keeps what follows the point. rnd(n) gives a fixed chance value for each whole number, so loops repeat.
    sq saw tri
    Square, saw and triangle waves with a period of 1, from −1 to 1.

    Stepper
    Reads the trace each step and strikes that note: semitones above the channel's root.
    Carrier
    A held oscillator whose pitch follows the trace. Sirens, sweeps, drones.
    Pulse
    A sine that strikes whenever the trace leaps up by 3 or more. Exponential drops make kicks.
    Auspex
    Random clicks. The trace is how many per beat.
